Hair Loss in Men

Hair loss in men (male pattern baldness/androgenic alopecia)?

Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss though other types of hair loss also exist.

It's caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation.

In the past, baldness was often seen as something unfortunate or undesirable.

What causes male hair loss?

Some men have areas on the scalp that are very sensitive to the male sex hormones (testosterone and dihydrotestosterone) that circulate in men's blood.

The hormones specially DHT (dihydrotestosterone) make the hair follicles – from which hair grows – shrink in size.  Over the time if not interrupted, they become small and lose their ability to grow back to normal size. The hair loss usually starts in men aged 20 to 30 and follows a typical pattern.

Can male hair loss be prevented?

Yes it can be prevented if diagnosed and treated at an early stage of hair loss. Identification of the hair loss is necessary. There are numerous treatments available these days. Medical treatments are the first choice for regaining lost hair, also if combined with PRP and dermaroller these treatments are really helpful.  Proper high protein diet, avoiding spicy oily foods, reducing sugar and salt intake and exercise help in regaining the hair along with the medical treatment.

Treatment for the BALD??

Hair transplant is the best option for people who have become bald due to hormonal effect. As it is natural safe and effective way of restoring your lost hair. In this method non-sensitive hairs are extracted from the occipital region and transplanted onto the regions of alopecia. The most advanced method of extraction is called as FUE method (follicular unit extraction)
